Founded by three Northwestern graduates and developed while in residence at IDEO, RISE began with a strong technical foundation. The product combined proprietary behavior-change algorithms, in-bed sensors, and personalized coaching to help users improve performance and reduce injury through better sleep. When it came time to build the brand, the challenge was to translate that depth into a clear, compelling identity that could stand alongside established names in the sports and performance space.

We guided the team through discovery and competitive analysis to clarify positioning and define a set of brand characteristics rooted in performance, credibility, and trust. From there, we developed an identity system designed to turn white-paper intelligence into something immediate and usable—brought to life across the app experience and key promotional and athlete-facing touchpoints.
